I have been plus sized since I was a kid. Back when I was in high school in the early 70′s I had a heck of a time finding pants that fit. I remember buying men’s corduroys because they fit me and women’s pants didn’t. I wear petite length pants, it was always too fun trying to wear pants that were too long for me. Plus sizes were coming for women and luckily by the time I hit college I was able to find jeans for women that I could wear. I eventually found Lane Bryant and Sizes Unlimited (now The Avenue) during my early adult years and they were a godsend. When I got married in 1995 I had a terrible time finding a wedding gown that was not white and not full length. Being so short I didn’t want to go the full length route. I wanted something different and ended up with a bridesmaid dress. Not what I really wanted but I compromised. Not a lot was available then but now I’m finding plus size wedding gowns in many styles online.

My difficulties finding plus size clothes that fit well lead me to creating Plus Size Shopping Blog. I want to provide you with enough information on plus size clothes so you are able to find some great sales and discounts, the right fitting jeans, that special dress you are looking for and the type of clothing you really want to wear.

I will be including posts showing plus size online store specials on a weekly basis. I’ve used a number of these stores over the years and will give you my take on the quality of the clothes offered, where the good discount opportunities are and more.
