Celebrity Fashion Article: Adele: Voice of an Angel and Fashion Icon

Posted under Celebrity Fashion Article, Misses Plus Size Clothing, Plus Size Clothing, Plus Size Fashion, Plus Size Fashion Article, Plus Size Women Articles, Women's Plus Size Clothing

She is the queen of grammy awards this year, but there no denying that Adele’s voice can be compared to an angel. She also possess a great personality! Her gorgeous curves were featured in the latest addition of Vogue.  She really highlights the beauty that is being herself. I feel we should learn a great fashion tip from Adele. In a modelling world, where the obsession with being skinny is considered to be great looking, Adele reminds us to appreciate beauty in all forms.

The vogue photoshoot also captures her beauty really well. The make up is bright and vibrant yet makes her look fresh and youthful. She also carries the image of grace and her soulful eyes and expression makes you really love her overall appearance and look.  The outfits she wore are high-end couture look with vintage touch. Photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott do justice to this beauty and makes this look last in our minds for a long time.

Celebrity Fashion Article: Adele Looks for Less

Posted under Celebrity Fashion Article, Plus Size Clothing, Plus Size Fashion, Plus Size Fashion Article, Plus Size Information, Plus Size Women Articles, Women's Plus Size Clothing

[dress: forever 21: [1]polka dot matelesse dress: $22.80] [shoes: asos: [2]peaches suede platform court shoe: $34.48] [clutch: handbag heaven: [3]cecily lace clutch: $33.95] [sunnies: sunglass warehouse: [4]retro style: $14.95] [earrings: asos: [5]vintage diamante earring with large cream pearl: $17.24]

Adele’s soulful (and grammy winning) voice has garnered quite the buzz for the past year. With chart-climbing songs like “Rolling in the Deep” and “Rumor Has It,” her intense and personal lyrics have resonated well with audiences – as has her unique fashion sense. Although the Brit is only 21 years young, she’s become known for her signature retro style. Black winged liner and a modified bee-hive hairdo puts her right back into the 60s. Full figured and stunningly gorgeous, she’s been compared to Christina Hendrick’s character on Mad Men, Joan Holloway. She has pioneered a new breed of beauty with her curvy shape and her classy and timeless style.

Adele tends to favor the color black which is always in fashion, and maybe a tad moody – keeping with her soulful songs, of course. She also sticks with patterns and garment cuts that are simple, yet flattering. The black dress selected in the “look for less” brings a hint of textural interest with the polka dot pattern. The polka dots also keep with the sixties vibe, but the metallic fabric of the pattern makes the dress slightly modern. Pair it with plain black pumps, classic [6]cateye sunglasses, a [7]feminine ruffle clutch, and some statement earrings and you’ll get all the right kind of attention. Simple, elegant, and timeless. You just can’t go wrong with Adele’s style!

Not sure what classifies things as retro? I’ll share some insight. While retro generally refers to things that are aged or outdated, it specifically refers to the 1960s. In the postwar period, women’s beauty routines often included the beehive hairdo, heavily lined eyelids, and red lipstick. The full skirt of the 50s was still being worn by some, but the “tent” style dress and pencil skirt were gaining attention. Mod styles are included in this retro category, as are cat eye sunglasses and eyeglasses. Marilyn Monroe, known for her sultry looks and full figured shape, was exceedingly popular during this time period and her curvy shape made waves through Hollywood.
