Women's Plus Size Clothing Dress yourself thin! Accessories can be the secret weapon in a plus size lady’s wardrobe that turn you in an instant to a svelte silhouette.
One of the few areas of fashion where one size really can fit all, pick out elegant jewellery, ladies scarves or chunky belts that accentuate your best features while distracting people from the bits you’d rather not emphasize.

Belts can be a wonderful way to narrow your waist. If you’re naturally blessed with a curvy figure then any style will work for you, but if you’re using the belt to draw yourself in, then pick a wide style in a non-stretchy material like leather. A large buckle will accentuate the slimming effect even further.
Long necklaces are a great way of elongating your neck and body. Avoid chokers and other short necklaces: as well as shortening your neck, they can draw attention to double chins. Big colourful bracelets or colourful watches with wide straps can be a great way of disguising larger wrists. And striking earrings in a long, teardrop shape can elongate your face and draw attention to your eyes and smile.
Scarves can have a similar effect worn round the neck or on the head. Pick a bold, vibrant colour, and again you’ll draw attention from your figure to your face. They’re among the most versatile of accessories too: some scarves can even double up as a belt.
Even your bag can help slim you down! Pick a large style. As well as being more practical, it can look larger to make you appear smaller and be used to disguise your midsection.

What about clothes in general? Try to go for dark colours rather than light, and pay particular attention to fit. If your clothes are too big then you’ll look as though you’re big enough to fit them, but if they’re too small, there’s a danger of ‘spilling out’ and shapeless, unsightly bulges. The old tip that horizontal stripes can make you look bigger, but vertical ones can slim you down, is still as relevant as ever.
Pick shoes with a thin heel and sole – this will help the outfit as a whole to appear slimming. Wear the highest heels you comfortably can as they will elongate the legs, giving you a slim, elegant figure.
In summary, use bright colours and interesting patterns to draw attention to your best bits, whether it is your impressive cleavage, your curvy figure or your sparkling eyes.

Women's Plus Size Clothing
While it can be exciting to try to stay current with the ever-changing trends in the fashion world, it is rarely economical. Dressing completely on trend every season can mean replacing your entire wardrobe several times a year, even your most basic pieces, to fit the new looks. For shoppers who don’t have that kind of money to spend, it’s much more realistic to use trends as inspiration for creating lasting looks.
Fashion and value can go hand in hand when you know how to incorporate trendy pieces into a well-rounded, classic wardrobe. By building a wardrobe of pieces that never go out of style, you can mix in trendy pieces that can be used over again.
For example, bright colors are a huge trend right now. Rather than recreating your wardrobe in all the brightest, boldest colors of the rainbow, invest in a few key pieces that represent this season’s bright color palette. By adding bright scarves, a purple handbag, or maybe even some red pants, you demonstrate an awareness of the trend without going overboard. Let bright colors serve as your inspiration, but don’t let them take over.
Similarly, bold prints – another major trend – can quickly overpower and overwhelm an outfit. Rather than trying to make every piece in your collection the boldest print or brightest color, find pieces that make feature a bold print, but function only as a highlight in a complete outfit.
Dressing a plus-size figure adds another element to the idea of using trends. Certain trends can be unflattering when worn in an extreme way on any body type, so it’s important to consider what shapes, patterns, and cuts of fabric are most flatting for you. Fashion is all about finding beautiful clothing that makes you look and feel beautiful too; trends are just inspiration, they aren’t the rule.
For example, certain bold prints – when worn in an overpowering way, like a floor-length dress – can camouflage plus-size curves and make the body appear boxy. For a more figure-enhancing way to incorporate prints, try pairing a bright printed skirt with a solid top. This way, the pattern is broken up across your body, and you draw attention to your hips and waist.
By working trends into your wardrobe without letting them completely direct your look, you not only maintain a more frugal fashion budget, but you make sure that the trends are working for you – and not the other way around. Dressing your plus-size figure should always be about flattering your own body first, and following the trend second. Examine what has worked for you in the past, and look for ways to incorporate the trend into your existing wardrobe. This way, you can confidently find fun, new pieces that will not only make you fashion-forward and on trend, but looking great too.

Most women buy a new handbag each year or each season. As trends come and go, women feel the pressure to stay in fashion with their most important accessory they use daily, their purse. When it comes to purses, women are looking for a few things: fashion, function and quality. After all, most women will use this same purse all year round. When purse shopping, you want to make sure you find exactly the right one. This is why women can trust Guess to be their one-stop-shop for handbags.
1. Trusted and affordable brand
Guess, who started as a jean company, has been around since the 1980′s and has always been a company well-known for its high fashion yet affordable clothing, shoes and accessories.
2. Good quality
Many famous stars wear and endorse the Guess brand which of course makes consumers trust the brands themselves. Quality is what Guess is known for. Their products are well-made with the finest fabrics and totally durable. Buying Guess products means you know that product will last a lifetime.
3. They carry all your essential goodies
But why buy a purse from Guess? Well first you must ask- what does a woman need in a handbag? Since it is socially unexceptionable for women to carry bulky items like cell phones and wallets in their pockets, handbags aren’t just for fashion, but for very important uses. For the woman on the go, she needs a purse big enough to hold all of her essentials but small enough that it won’t weight her down.
4. They have compartments so things are easy to find in your handbag
Another important thing is how the purse holds things. You may need a purse with compartments that make your cell phone easy to find or hold pens and other useful supplies. That’s the great thing about Guess. Not only can you trust their bags to be fashion forward, but you can rely on their ability to hold all of your important needs and make them easily accessible. Maybe you’re just going for a night on the town and you want a clutch. Guess has a large line of elegant and adorable clutches. You’re sure to find the right one for the perfect outfit.
5. They have a new handbag line for every type of woman
Still not convinced? Here are some examples of their fine products. This year, Guess has a line of extraordinary handbags called Mauritius. The Mauritius line is all about versatility. There is a handbag in this line for every kind of woman. There are medium size handbags with great compartments for the professional woman. They also have sultry leather clutches for that fun night out. These handbags come in a functional, beautiful tan or a wild, fun black. This is just one example from Guess’s huge line of amazing purses this year. Check them out online or visit your nearest Guess store and see for yourself!

Women's Plus Size Clothing Glasses are becoming a fashion commodity for everyone, be it for vision correction or merely to finish of a stylish outfit. However choosing the right pair of glasses isn’t easy and it is not only the importance of comfort and usability, it is how do the glasses make you look and feel?
Like the many different sizes and shapes of glasses that there are available, the nation is full of different shaped faces. The shape of your face will determine the style and shape of a frame that suits you. Due to the thousands of styles of eyeglasses available, be it on line or in your local opticians, it can be daunting to select the correct pair of glasses that make you look and feel on top of the fashion trend.
As your fashion stylist for your eyewear needs we have created the following guide to enhance your style and assist you on your way to looking and feeling fabulous with this season’s must have glasses designs.
We all know 2011 has seen the comeback of the geeky retro inspired frames from the 50’s and 80’s. Too bold for many, but choose a shape and size that flatters your features and you too will be able to join in with the nerdy fashion craze.
Oval Shaped Face

If you have an oval shaped face with a rounded chin and forehead then your luck is in! Your face is in balanced proportions and will appear longer that it is wide, with your jaw line being slightly narrower than your forehead. You can pull off almost any frame shape and design. However it is important to consider your complexion and hair colour when choosing the frame colour. Why not try this season’s most popular frame style, the Wayfarer inspired retro acetate glasses. Wear with pride just like Britain’s leading fashion commentator Gok Wan.
Rectangle Shaped Face

If you have a rectangular shaped face, with a larger square chin, prominent jaw line and a longer nose length then large, square frames will suit you best. A rectangular frame will help to balance out our features by making your face appear shorter. It’s your time to shine with a bit of bling! Diamante or decorative temple designs will add width to your narrow face.
Triangle Shaped Face

If you have a broad forehead with a narrow, rounded chin the frame for you is a small square or rounded shape to balance the proportions of your face. If you are looking to be bold with your frame choice go for a style that is wider at the bottom, this will emphasize the narrower lower half of your face. Looking for something more minimalistic? Then a light rimless frame will work wonders for you! If Jenifer Anniston can make rimless sexy then so can you!
Square Shaped Face

If the width and length of your face are proportionally equal, you have a defined jaw line and a broad forehead creating the perception of a square shaped face, you should go for narrow frames with a greater width then depth of the lens. A narrow frame, particularly oval or rounded will lengthen your face and soften your jaw line. They will place emphasis on your eyes, so pile on the mascara! We recommend you avoid square shaped frames like the plague, they will only make your features appear out of balance.
Diamond Shaped Face

Think you have a diamond shaped face? Then you are a rare specimen. The diamond shaped face is characterised by a narrow forehead and chin with wide cheekbones. This is the rarest of face shapes where the face is narrower at the eye line than the jaw. Frames that draw attention to the eyes will elongate this narrow part of your face. Glasses such as the ‘brownline’ style frame are perfect for doing this and the benefit is this style frame is on top of 2011 frame must haves. Another classic style that you can pull off with confidence is the dramatic cat eye shaped frame. Elegant yet theatrical a true classic if you are a confident glasses wearer!
Round Shaped Face

If you have a round face with full cheeks you should go for a frame that elongates your face and makes it appear narrower. Angular and narrow lens depth frames will lengthen your face. There are 1000’s of rectangular frames available to you, the world really is your oyster. At no cost must you go for a round frame, although popular this season they will not enhance your features. There are plenty of other rectangular fashion must have frames to choose from. Cheryl Cole may not have the roundest of faces but she pulls off narrow rectangle glasses with style.
Pyramid Shaped Face

Almost as rare as the diamond shape but no more unusual, the pyramid shape face has a narrow forehead and wider cheeks and chin. A pyramid shaped face craves a frame that draws attention to the eyes, widening the narrow upper third of the face. If you have a pyramid face shape be as bold and brassy as your fashion tastes allow. Go for frames that have are bold and striking in colour, with added detail at the temple. Like the fellow diamond shaped face, the browline or cat eye style frames will do you justice enhancing your eyes and balancing out your facial features. Lock the frame with confidence like Katy Perry.
Choosing the right frame does not simply stop there. You must also consider factors such as will the frame complement the colour of your favourite outfit, the complexion of your skin and the colour of your hair?
As a general guideline if you have fair hair then softer pastel shades will work their magic best by not overpowering your face. If you have dark hair then you can be adventurous with a more dramatic frame colour.

Women's Shoes Good news! The winter is approaching and it is time for us ladies to do some serious shopping for women’s boots. We know that women’s boots come in all kinds of shapes, colours and sizes so there is a lot to choose from. Some women prefer to wear over-the-knee boots that look great with skirts, whereas other women prefer to wear flat boots that are great for doing lots of walking.
ALDO Criblez Suede Metal Heel Ankle Boots (ASOS) $226.98
Boots are generally very comfortable and easy to walk in, as the famous song of Nancy Sinatra (covered by Jessica Simpson) points out ‘’these boots are made for walking, that’s just what they’ll do’’, however not all boots are made for walking. Sexy high heel boots are known to be difficult to walk in, even though they certainly look great with dresses, skirts or even with jeans. They come in various heights, so if you are not a star in walking in high heels, make sure that the heels are no longer than 2 inches (or 5 cm).
Carvela Wigan Rouched Knee High Boots $401.58 (ASOS)
No matter what kind of boots you choose, there are several things you need to consider when purchasing boots. First, make sure that they are trendy and, for those who do not have much to spend, match most of your clothing. If you are the kind of girl who wears lots of colourful clothes, I would recommend buying black boots as they go with anything. Secondly, buy shoes that are right for you. If you have skinny legs, try some cowboy boots or knee-high boots. If you have slightly larger legs then I would suggest trying a pair of stretch boots or ankle boots.
Apache Shearling Cuff Ankle Boots $48.89 (ASOS)
Ankle boots are great because they are so confortable to walk in. I am wearing similar boots as the apache shearling cuff ankle boots right now and it is a big relief after having worn high heels for meetings yesterday all day! I prefer to wear ankle boots underneath pair of jeans or a long skirt. Don’t wear them under short skirts because this is a complete mismatch. When wearing these boots with a long skirt, make sure that your socks don’t show.
Lastly, always make sure that your boots have a long life-span as poor quality boots usually only last for a couple of weeks. Even though this gives you the opportunity to buy a new pair (we can never have too many shoes!), it would be great to have boots that can be worn for the winter as well. Good quality boots usually have a solid and thick sole, are waterproof and have extra padding filled inside, preventing the fabric from ripping too easily.

Fashion has witnessed the charm bracelet’s return to prominence as a popular choice accessory over the last few years. Bracelets that provide the wearer with the option to decorate them charm by charm have proved a hit with everyone from girls on the street to popular celebrities, and the emerging trend shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
A primary selling point for these particular types of bracelet is choice, and how anyone and everyone can share their personality and unique stories by building a bracelet from scratch and then showcasing it upon their wrists. As a result, it’s only right that women of all sizes – specifically, wrist sizes – are afforded the same option to build a charm bracelet they can call their own.
There are many famous brands that have seen their charm bracelets become successful around the world over the last decade, including Thomas Sabo and Links of London. Pandora has led the charge with their phenomenal charm bracelet concept that celebrates its tenth year in 2011.
All women can join in the fun by selecting from bracelets that vary in length, making it easy to choose a good fit. For example, Pandora bracelets (which are available in sterling silver and 14ct gold) range in length from 6 to 9 inches; Pandora highlights the 7.5 inch length as their bestselling bracelet size, so it’s good to see there is a good choice of sizes above and beyond the ‘average’ wrist size.
As well as comfort, one further benefit to more sizeable bracelets is that they allow further room for more charms. Okay, so this might not be good news for your bank balance, but ladies who wear larger bracelets can enjoy showcasing a larger variety of beads – and, with so many to choose from regardless of what brand you go for, that’s an advantage. It may even save you money in the long run, as those with smaller bracelets might be starting on a second one while you still have room to spare.
With the trend for charm bracelets still going strong, any fashion-savvy lady’s wardrobe isn’t complete without one. Interchangeable looks mean they’re ideal for any season, and the range of combinations means it’s as close to a unique accessory as you’ll find. Thankfully, the sizing options available means there will be a fit for most women, demonstrating how exclusion continues to be eroded from the fashion industry.

Plus Size Women Articles Scarves are a perfect accessory for women of all sizes, but did you know there are special scarf styling tips and tricks for plus-sized women? With scarves, it’s all about playing to your figure and using colors and patterns to attract the eye. Here are 5 tips for plus sized women who love to wear scarves:
Tip #1: Use Color to Your Advantage
Human eyes are naturally drawn to colors and patterns, so you can use scarves to distract eyes from problem areas. If you’re heavy in the hip area, wear a bright scarf around your neck to attract attention to your upper body. Warm-skinned ladies look gorgeous in pinks, reds and oranges, while cool-skinned gals pull off blues, purples, and greens beautifully. A patterned scarf attracts the eye even more than a solid-colored one. Some of my favorite patterns are stripes, florals, and animal prints!

Tip #2: Wear Scarves with Low Necklines
If you’re well-endowed and struggle with finding the right neckline for your chest, a scarf is a perfect way to add some modesty to a shirt that just feels too low. For v-neck shirts, a simple neck tie knot works, while muffler and bow styles are good for U, round, and square necklines.
Tip #3: Balance Out Your Top
Besides necklines, busty women should also keep in mind the volume and pattern of their scarf. For a well-endowed woman, a long and thick scarf with a large pattern can make the chest area look too crowded. Instead, try a skinny scarf and delicate, small pattern; this will add color to your outfit without adding volume. Small polka dots, thin stripes, and small floral prints look great.
Tip #4: Balance Out Your Bottom
For a pear-shaped woman, it’s all about creating a balance between your chest and your hips. You can make your chest-to-hip ratio smaller by wearing thick scarves with bold patterns. This will also draw people’s eyes away from your hips and add volume to your chest.
Tip #5: Accentuate Your Waist
If you’ve got it, flaunt it! Accentuate your figure by wearing a scarf around the slimmest part of your waist! Long thin scarves and silk scarves make the best scarf belts. Wear a pretty patterned scarf over a solid-colored tee to dress up a casual look!

Wool is a very popular textile fiber. I’m sure that most everyone owns something made from wool. Sheep’s wool is most common, but many people are allergic or otherwise sensitive to sheep’s wool.
This is where alpacas come into play. Alpacas are four legged mammals and of the same species as llamas. Their fur can be woven and processed into a fiber that resembles wool, which can then be used to create numerous articles of clothing, like alpaca sweaters, and is also very useful for household items, like place mats, ornaments, and baskets. Alpaca clothing provides form and function and has become quite popular in the world of fashion.
Characteristics of Alpaca Wool
Despite the fact that it closely resembles sheep’s wool, alpaca fiber is quite different. Here are a few of its notable characteristics.
Alpaca fiber has a lustrous, silky quality and tends to be warmer than sheep’s wool without the prickly feeling.
Alpaca fiber is a lot stronger than sheep’s wool. It is even stronger than the more expensive cashmere. However, alpaca is also much lighter and softer than either of those materials, making alpaca scarves perfectly comfortable for winter.
Alpaca does not retain water, making it great for rainy days.
Alpaca fiber is resistant to odor, stains, flames, and wrinkles and also protects against solar radiation.
The most important characteristic of alpaca fiber is its hypoallergenic qualities. Lanolin is the oil found in sheep’s wool and is often the substance attributed to wool allergies. Alpaca wool does not contain any lanolin, making it a great alternative for people allergic to wool.
The Downside
Unfortunately, alpaca wool tends to be much more expensive than normal sheep’s wool and other similar materials, but alpaca is not nearly as expensive as cashmere. The main reason for alpaca fiber’s high price tag is the fact that alpacas are sheared on a yearly basis and are not in great supply. This means that the material is incredibly rare. Cashmere is also sheared only once a year, though it usually takes fibers from three or four goats to get enough cashmere to make a simple sweater. Sheep are sheared once a year but thousands of sheep are sheared at once, making sheep’s wool much more available.
Uses of Alpaca
Still, alpaca is a wonderfully versatile fiber. It is soft and luxurious, making it perfect for sweaters, gloves, scarves, and other articles of clothing. Most importantly, alpaca fiber is hypoallergenic. Normal sheep’s wool contains lanolin, an oil that is naturally secreted from a sheep’s sebaceous glands. Lanolin is often the substance that is attributed to wool allergies. Alpaca fiber contains no oils or grease, making it a perfect substitute for traditional sheep’s wool. Alpaca fiber is a great choice for those needing hypoallergenic clothing and a comparable value for natural wool clothing.

Whether your old frames are looking a bit outdated or your lenses don’t seem as strong as they used to, it’s time to start shopping around for new glasses again. But which style will look best on you? With so many different colors, shapes and styles to choose from, it can be a daunting task to try and find the perfect frames. Here are some tips to help narrow down the field. Your new glasses should not only look stylish, but flatter your face, too!
Learn From the Past
First, take some time to pull out the old pairs of glasses you’ve owned. If you’ve gotten rid of them, some old photos will likely jog your memory. Which glasses do you miss most, and why? Likewise, think about the glasses that you liked the least – what didn’t you like about them? Perhaps your favorite pair was a particular color that you always got compliments on. Maybe it was a feature like transitional lenses that you didn’t splurge for last time, but wish you had. Think about which glasses you were most comfortable in, or the ones you were happiest wearing.
If you still have the glasses, write down what size they were. The size will be printed somewhere on the frames as a series of three numbers, such as 50-18-145. If these frames fit you really well, look for new frames that are close to the same size. Here’s what the numbers represent so you know how much wiggle room you have:
- Lens Diameter: The first number in the series represents the lens diameter. Look for glasses within two millimeters of the original number. In the example above, you’d want to look for frames with a lens diameter of 48 – 52 mm.
- Bridge: The middle number represents the bridge. You should stay within one millimeter of the old measurement, unless they had adjustable nose pads. In that case, you’d be safe within two millimeters, so in the example you’d look for 16 – 20 mm.
- Temple: The last number represents the total width from temple to temple. You should stay within five millimeters of your favorite lenses, so in the example above you’d be safe anywhere between 140 and 150 mm.
Styles for Larger Faces
If it’s been a challenge to find glasses in your size in the past, you’ll be happy to know that you’re likely to find more options available this time. New lines of eyewear are coming to market that are specifically designed for larger faces, without compromising on style. One example is Zyloware Eyewear’s collection inspired by Randy Jackson from American Idol. Frames come in a variety of colors, including tri-color and two-tone. All of these frames are wider in the bridge and temples so they’re very comfortable and look great. You’ll find these frames available at Nationwide Vision.
Shapes to Balance Your Features
Certain shapes of frames will enhance and balance out your natural face shape. Here are some recommendations:
- Round: If your face is round, you’ll want frames that make your face appear thinner and longer. Look for square or angular frames.
- Oval: Oval-shaped faces are already proportionally balanced, so you’re in luck – you can choose from any frame shape and they’ll look great on you!
- Square: If your face looks about as wide as it is long, you’ll want to find frames that soften your features and make your face look longer. Shop around for circular, oval, or curved frames.
- Oblong: If your face is long and narrow, your ideal glasses should help your face look shorter. Look for frames that are round or triangular in shape.
- Diamond: If you have a narrow forehead and chin but wide temples or cheekbones, you’ll need glasses that bring attention to your eyes. Look for unusual frame shapes, such as cat-eye frames. Round or oval frames in bright colors can also draw attention to the eyes.

Whether it’s from Lockheart or Isabella Fiore, a purse or handbag is essential to any woman’s wardrobe. A handbag is a great combination of form and function, adding that extra touch of style to any outfit while giving you the means to carry all your personal effects wherever you go.
Of course, there are hundreds of handbags to choose from at any online boutique. Let’s take a look at some of the more popular types of purses and handbags, each of varying style and function.
The Shoulder Strap Bag
Potentially the most common type of handbag used by women, the shoulder strap bag is probably what you would imagine when you think of the modern handbag. This bag comes in numerous shapes, sizes, and colors and is characterized by its two straps that go over the shoulders (hence its name). The great thing about this handbag is its versatility. It goes perfectly with any summer outfit, from casual to semi-formal.
The Satchel
Also known as a messenger bag, the satchel has a single long strap that is meant to be slung across one shoulder. As fashionable as this type of bag might be, it’s mainly an optimal means of storing your personal items, which makes it great for people running errands. Satchels are also a great alternative for those students seeking a more fashion friendly version of the backpack. In terms of clothing, a satchel would be most appropriate with casual wear.
The Hobo Bag
The hobo bag is a fairly large bag that is distinguished by its half-moon shape. The bag earned its name due to its resemblance to the bindles often carried by hobos in cartoons and popular media. As such, the hobo bag tends to have a lot of room to carry your items and slumps or slouches when set down. The hobo bag is a favorable accessory for the bohemian-chic style.
The Tote
The tote bag is probably the most simple of handbags. Tote bags are typically made from a piece of cloth or other soft material with arched straps that can be slung over the shoulder or serve as handles. This is the perfect bag for quick errands, especially when shopping. The tote offers a more environmentally friendly option for carrying your groceries over plastic bags.
The Clutch
The clutch is one of the smaller types of handbags. Lacking any straps or handles, clutch bags are meant to be carried by hand (clutched) and are strictly reserved for formal wear.
