plussizetoolongpantsIf you want to improve your wardrobe and celebrate the curvy lady that you are, then it helps to avoid these common plus size fashion mishaps at all costs!

Gaping Buttons: If you have a little more to offer in the chest department, then you probably have the common problem of gaping buttons on the front of your shirt. To make sure that your shirt fits well and doesn’t pop open at random in public, check that the front of the shirt lies flat when you try it on in the dressing room. Move back and forth as you would in your daily activities to make certain that the fabric stays in place and doesn’t give a sneak peek between the buttonholes!

Gapped Waistbands: Many plus size women moan and groan about the issue of jeans gapping at the back of the waistband. You can disguise this problem by wearing a stylish belt or a long flowing top. You can also take troublesome jeans to a tailor, who can remove a few inches from the back of the waistband so that it lies flat and looks even more flattering.

Extra Long Pants: If you’re a petite plus size lady, then you probably have trouble finding pants that fit and aren’t several inches too long. If it happens to be the wintertime, you can tuck a long hem into a pair of stylish boots, or you can even cuff your pants for a whole new look altogether. But if this problem is plaguing you with all of your pants, then it may be time to make a trip to the tailor to get a few inches taken off so that you can strut in style.

Droopy Bra Straps: Since your bra may be doing a lot of work keeping your ladies in check, you probably have the problem of drooping bra straps from time to time. First of all, you want to stay comfortable so that you feel as sexy as possible. Make sure that your bra fits properly and isn’t a size too large or a size too small. This problem is much more common than you may think! Next, to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions at work, consider wearing a convertible bra under all of your tops to keep your bra straps secure and prevent fidgeting in your next meeting.

When you get all of these fashion blunders in check, you can finally look and feel your best in your clothes – and in your own skin!
